Jim C. Klepper, Attorney, Founder, and President Drivers Legal Plan.
Mr. Klepper received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Jim is still a registered pharmacist, which has proven instrumental in numerous cases involving drugs, alcohol, or prescriptive misapplication.
Jim served with distinction as prosecutor in Seminole, Hughes, and Pontotoc County (OK) representing the counties in countless traffic-related hearings. Jim took that experience, along with a lifetime affinity for trucking, to establish a national law firm entirely dedicated to transportation law, specifically the representation of CDL drivers. He then founded Drivers Legal Plan, designed to make the services of his firm affordable to the common commercial driver.
Jim currently holds licenses to practice law in an incredible 16 states, as well as numerous federal, district, circuit, chancery courts, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, and several state Bar Associations. His firm has handled over one hundred twenty-five thousand cases, and the resulting case database is certainly one of the foremost resources of its kind in the country.
Extremely active and visible in the industry he represents, Jim has
become a noted author & lecturer. He authored the "Trucker's Legal
Guide," which
has become and industry standard. His journalistic efforts are primarily
manifest in advice columns and articles in trucking trade journals,
in an ongoing, altruistic endeavor to pass on good, common sense
legal knowledge to his trucking clientele. He
is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Trucking
Association, Oklahoma Trucking Association, American Trucking Association
and the Truckload Carriers Association, as well as the Oklahoma Humane
Society and maintains a current CDL.
