New law will require you to submit your health information to the state

As a trucker, you are well aware that the US Government requires you to receive approval from a doctor saying you are healthy enough to drive. A new federal requirement going into effect at the end of this month requires you to submit that approval to your state licensing agency.

The states are a bit behind on getting their databases set up to log this info so you will still be required to carry your health approval paperwork for two more years. Federal regulators have said they will force the states hand to comply by withholding their highway funds.
